“I am different, not less” – Dr. Mary Temple Grandin. A professor of animal science and one of the first people to talk about their personal experience with Autism, her quote speaks volumes. We are going out on a limb and saying that all of our lives have been impacted by someone on the spectrum.
What’s this madness you say?
Some of you are probably reading this on an iPhone, a macOS or a Windows based computer. Both Steve Jobs and Bill Gates have impacted our lives on the spectrum. Let that sink in for a minute…
*pauses for emphasis*
Shocking? Not really. The way they view the world and how they process information is just a little different from others. We decided to raise awareness about Autism Spectrum Disorder. Our main goal is to shed some light on the fact that although people are on the spectrum aren't any more or less equipped to be successful in the world. For us, it ties in perfectly with our core value, that people have no limitations. Their possibilities for success are endless, and their disorder or where they are from, does not determine where they can go. We are all a PROSPECT.
For this drop, we are donating a percent of the proceeds to the Autism Society San Diego to help bring awareness to what we consider the pieces of society that we need. Which transitions into our San Diego Different Not Less (SD DNL) T-Shirt and Lapel Pins, which we teamed up with HDQTRSNYC to do. We updated our PROSPECT logo with a custom Puzzle Piece font and also added two puzzle pieces lapel pins to the mix.
The SD DBL T-Shirt and Lapel Pins will be available at our Pacific Beach Prospect location and online at prspctsd.com today at 9 AM
